Where You Can Play Your Part in Saving It
The Internet is a sparkling example of how powerful "we the people" can become with
access to total freedom of information, and the capability to communicate it instantly around the world. The powers that rule the world, and the puppet governments that serve them, are also completely aware that the Internet, as it is currently constituted, presents the single greatest threat to their agenda of world totalitarian government. This is why it is currently under attack on several fronts, including our own elected US Congress, where this Wednesday (4/26/06) a bill will likely be approved by the House Commerce Committee that will turn control of the Internet over to the huge corporations that currently monopolize what's left of the telecommunications industry, such as AT&T, Verizon and Comcast. If approved by Congress as a whole, the result will be an inexorable first step in the destruction of the freedom of the Internet. And as with everything that is of real significance, this issue is flying completely beneath the radar, as the mainstream media is not covering it.
